I warned Harper's teacher that she is nothing like Shiloh. And I think today she really started to understand. Shiloh is the kid that thrives in school. High expectations, academic challenges, rules to follow, people to please. You know, that kid. Harper on the other hand has no expectations for anything, doesn't believe in anything academic and doesn't believe that rules apply to her in any sense. I mean despite 6 months at home with me doing my best Harper still spells her name "H purple eleven". And there is no telling her otherwise. She marches to her own drum and trail blazers her own path of insanity. And I think her teacher found that out today. I guess every time her teacher puts something in her backpack Harper promptly takes it out, chucks it on the floor and says "I don't want that." Teacher puts it back in, Harper throws it back out and restates "No, I don't want that". Now things have to be snuck into her bag. And apparently Harper came out of the bathroom at school with her hair sopping wet with bits of soap all in her hair. I guess she felt the need to go to the bathroom and wash her hair. I don't know, I mean I do wash the kid at home. Regularly. Honest. When her teacher questioned her about what happened she said "I washed my hair". "Why?" "Because I wanted to." "Isn't that something you should do at home?" "No. You have soap here." And then she marched back to her chair, hair dripping all over the place and acted like nothing happened. Do I warn her teacher now that she very rarely wears clothes at home?
